Skulduggery Pleasant Character Card Competition Terms and Conditions:

  1. This competition is promoted by HarperCollins Publishers Limited (“HarperCollins”), 1 London Bridge Street, London, SE1 9GF.
  2. This promotion is open to all UK and Eire residents except employees of HarperCollins (or their parent, subsidiaries or any affiliated companies) and their immediate families, who are not allowed to enter the competition.
  3. You must be 13 or over to enter this competition. If you are under 18 you must have permission from your parent or guardian.
  4. How to enter: You must submit your Skulduggery Pleasant  Character Card in one of the three ways listed below. By entering you are agreeing to receive newsletters from HarperCollins Children’s Books, which you can opt out of at any time.
  1. The opening date for entries is 21st May 2017. The closing date for entries is midnight on the 30th June 2017. No entries received after this date will be accepted.
  2. No purchase necessary.
  3. Only one entry allowed per household.
  4. The prize is £100 of HarperCollins Children’s Books and Skulduggery Pleasant posters for the winner’s school, and the winner will receive Skulduggery Pleasant posters and a set of all 10 Skulduggery Pleasant books, signed and personalised by author Derek Landy himself.
  1. The prize is non-refundable, non-transferable and subject to availability. No guarantee is given as to the quality of the prize.
  2. No cash or prize alternatives are available.
  3. HarperCollins reserve the right in their reasonable discretion to substitute any prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
  4. The winner of the competition will be selected by an independent judge based on the character card they deem to be the most creative received and notified by e-mail no later than the 15th July 2017. Where we require details from you, if you do not provide these within 28 days of notification we reserve the right to select a different winner.
  5. We are unable to return entries to entrants.
  6. All entrants are expected to act fairly and in the good spirit of the competition. HarperCollins reserves the right to investigate any irregularities and disqualify entrants at its absolute discretion.
  7. The winner’s individual prize will be delivered to the winner within a month of the winner being notified (to allow the author time to sign and personalise the books). HarperCollins will contact the winner’s school to coordinate the selection of the £100’s worth of HarperCollins Children’s books which will be subject to availability. Once agreed the books will be delivered within 2 weeks. HarperCollins reserves the right to select another winner if the original winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable timeframe.
  8. Any application containing incorrect, false or unreadable information will be rejected. Any applications made on behalf of or for another person or multiple entries will not be included in the competition.
  9. HarperCollins’ decision as to who has won the competition shall be final.
