I love publishing time.
It means, finally, that I can share the latest book with the people who want to read it. I’ve been living with ‘The Faceless Ones’ on my computer for AGES now. I’ve had huge conversations with my agent and editor about it, I’ve gone over it and over it again, trying to make it the best it can possibly be. It gets to the point where it all becomes just so familiar that I almost forget that there are folks out there who HAVEN’T read it...!
And then publishing time comes around, and the emails start flooding into the website and the Bebo page, and I get excited messages from readers who just seem so thrilled by the sheer IDEA of another book.
This enthusiasm is infectious, and it makes me grin every time I experience it. The best part of publishing time is not the fact that I have another book on the shop shelves- it’s the fact that there are people like you, who are waiting for it. You make this all so much fun, and I want to thank you for that, and I sincerely hope you enjoy The Faceless Ones.
